BLUEPRINT BREAK OUT - PERSONAL/COMMUNAL SUSTAINABILITY AND EDUCATION
DATE: February 13th, 2019
TIME: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
LOCATION: Rachel Carson Red Room
The Blueprint for a Sustainable Campus is a document used by Enviroslug, UCSC student organizations, the Sustainability Office, professors, and more to guide campus actions regarding sustainability and environmental justice! It has been created nearly every year since 2004 and reflects the most current visions of how to make UCSC more just and sustainable.
This Winter quarter, the SEC will be hosting FOUR Blueprint Breakouts with the help of the incredible members of our sister organizations, ESLP and CSC. These breakouts are for us to engage with students, faculty, staff, and community members about different topics of sustainability on UCSC's campus. Every other Wednesday from 5:30-7:30pm, we will have open discussions about our visions and actions for how we can make this campus more sustainable and just!
Dates and topics are as follows:
WEEK 2 (1/16)- Natural resources (land, habitat, water & Green Purchasing/Building
WEEK 4 (1/30)- Food (and Food Sovereignty) & Waste
WEEK 6 (2/13)- Personal/communal sustainability & Education/Academics
WEEK 8 (2/27)- Energy and technology & Transportation and housing
Free food will be provided at all gatherings!
All are welcome!
